This section will cover the basics of managing users and groups in OVD

Create & Configure Users

Note: If using external auth, you will see a list of users present in the directory. If using local auth, you will see a list of existing users and from here you can also create new users.

  1. To create users, navigate to Users > Users and under "Add", create the users as required.
  2. If needed, add these users to the requisite groups.
  3. With users configured, you can proceed to configuring server access groups

Create & Configure Groups

Note: If using external auth, you will see a list of groups present in the directory. If using local auth, you will see a list of existing groups and from here you can also create new groups. 1. If using LDAP/AD: ....1. Groups are usually imported automatically once the directory service is connected. ....2. You can filter which groups are imported using the Group Filter. 2. To create a local group, navigate to Users > User Groups. Under the "Create a new group" section, enter a name and description, and click Add 3. Under Users > User Groups, click the name of your newly created group. 4. Add any requisite users to it as needed, and configure any settings if required.

Assign Groups to Application Groups

  1. Navigate to Applications > Application Groups
  2. Under "Create a new group", enter the name and description, and click Add.
  3. Add the desired applications and user groups to the application group
